This realistic model of a .357 Magnum Revolver is optimized for close inspection in first-person games (30k triangles). The renders are made in Marmoset Toolbag 4, and the last video is captured in real time using Unreal Engine 5.
The revolver has multiple material IDs, which go by the following resolution in the engine:
- Revolver - 2048 x 2048
- Flashlight - 1024 x 1024
- Red Dot Scope - 1024 x 1024
- Red Dot Scope Lense - 512 x 512
- Red Dot Scope Dot - 256 x 256
Each of these materials comes with 3 texture maps:
- Base Color
- Normal
- Occlusion + Roughness + Metallic (stored in one map)
- Emissive (just for the flashlight)
Big props to Tim Bergholz for his support and guidance while making this weapon ❤️ !
